My wife clocked me!!!!!!

Don't want to get on Giliane's bad side, let me tell you!!!

I had to wrap up Argo in a towel to give the poor guy his meds (ear infection), and Argo sure-as-hell didn't want to cooperate. Giliane was holding the burrito cat and I had managed to get his mouth open. Giliane was holding his mouth open and I was preparing to drop that little pill in his mouth when Argo realized his mouth was open and snapped his mouth shut.

Giliane jerked her arm back, but still he managed to bite her. Accidentally, of course. However, I was leaning over her at the time this happened, so all I saw was this elbow heading towards me at lightspeed. Contact was made. My head snapped back. And all I could do was look at her and say, "Damn, babe! That was a good one!!"

Another BEAUTIFUL day in Lake Havasu!

Awwwwwwwwww finally! A day off! YAY!!! I sleep in, but I still have plenty of things to do today so that I don't have too do to much tomorrow. Maybe I can even talk Jeff and Giliane into going to the movies on Sunday... hint hint... hehehehe. Mason and Riley are excited to go swimming today. They are enviting thier cousin Sammy over later to swim too, if she is up for it! Let us know!

Chalk one up to sis.

Ok, oh darling sis o'mine. I will admit that you got us on that one.

For those who hadn't heard the story:

We met my sister, Keri, for some frozen yogurt yesterday. Naturally didn't suspect anything. Had a good time. Went grocery shopping to plan out the menu for the Mother's Day Dinner that we were going to plan for mom.

After arriving back home, I dumped the bags of stuff I was holding on the counter and decide to wash my hands. I was just finishing drying my hands when I caught movement in our pool out of the corner of my eye. I had been putting the last little bit of water in the pool earlier that day, and I knew that the hose was turned off. This gets my attention. Now I'm staring at the pool. I'm sure I looked just like a dog when they can't figure something out. They tilt their head just a bit. Well, that was me. Then I see an object go swimming by. I didn't have much to say, except "What the $%^#??" I called Giliane over. She identified a lot quicker than I did that it was one of those mechanical fish that are battery operated. Essentially one of these:
Swimming fishyAnd it wasn't one of 'em, but three of 'em. We just sat there, staring at the pool trying to figure out who got us. First on my suspect list was Gary. Nope. Mom? Nope. It was Keri, in cahoots with Mom. Sneaky little bastards. lol

Ok, it's on now!!!

Pool is up, bring on the heat!

As we watch the temps gradually increasing into the triple digits, we realized it was time to put our pool back in our sun room.

I had it stored out in our shed. I figured I could clean it up and get it ready in no time flat. I wanted to surprise Giliane 'cause she was working that day. So, with all good intentions in place, let me tell you a few things that hampered my progress:

1. There was a coating of goop on several sections. No problem. Cleaned up with soap and water.
2. Lost a seal around the filter pump intake. No sweat. Tightened the clamp extra tight to ensure no leaks.
3. Started filling with water. Got about 6 inches high when water was noted on the ground, and it wasn't coming from the pump. Stared stupidly at the water for about five minutes, then the cursing began. Houston, we have a problem.
4. Started draining the pool. Grass grows faster than this thing does draining.
5. Grabbed the pump from our fountain and forced the water to drain faster. This required me to actually hold the outtake from the pump up to the drainage hose. Kills the back.
6. Drainage hose develops kink. Cursing at hose does no good. Several violent yanks does no good. Dog thinks I'm playing and starts to bark at hose. Put on wet sandals and remove kink from hose, only to discover four (4) more kinks in hose. Fixed kinks.
7. Drainage hose gets plugged with junk from fountain after I cleaned it out. I grab a bucket and start to bail water out of the pool. Refer to the last section of #5.
8. Wife helped drag out old pool. Water went everywhere.
9.. Bought new pool. Filled it up. About two hours later, water was again noticed on the ground. Tried using old pump. Mistake.

Needless to say, I had my share of problems on Saturday trying to get the damn thing working. But, with Giliane's help, we dumped the last bit of water out of the old one and have the nice new pool in it's place. Now we just need the sun to warm it up a bit. I never thought I'd say that 76° water would be cold. *sigh*

Platinum USA's Grand Opening!

Today was the day for the Grand Opening of Platinum USA Real Estate!

Quite a lot of people showed up to see the office, have some food, and generally get to know one another.

I think that all the other real estate offices have a serious contender to deal with now! Let the good times roll!!
