Col. John Poyer (1605-1649) - Jeff's 9G Grandfather. Col. Poyer was mayor of Pembroke, Wales. He defended Pembroke castle against Oliver Cromwell who tried to take the castle by force during Wales' 2nd Civil War. Cromwell won, Col. Poyer lost, and was shot by firing squad in London, England, as a result.


John Mohler Studebaker (1833-1917) - Giliane's 2nd cousin 5 times removed. John Studebaker started the line of automobiles with the same name. The Studebaker line of automobiles continued until the year 1966 (1963 for the other plant).


George Darling (1614-1693) - Jeff's 9G Grandfather. Captured in battle during the Battle of Dunbar in Scotland, 1650, by none other than Oliver Cromwell. He was sent to the new "Colonies" in America as an indentured servant for punishment.


"Queen" Aliquippa (Abt. 1720-1774) - Jeff's 6G Grandmother. Seneca Indian that was mentioned several times in George Washington's journals.


Vincent Goodwyn (1390-1434) - Jeff's 17G Grandfather. My earliest ancestor! This guy was literally living in the Medieval age!


Johannes Landes (born in 1520) - Giliane's 13G Grandfather. Giliane's earliest ancestor! Johannes was born in Hirzel, Switzerland.

John S. Martinson (1880-1987) - Giliane's Great-Grandfather. The oldest family member we have in our family tree! Mr. Martinson passed away at 107! John was born in Sweden and became a US citizen when he was very young.
