Less than a week to go!!!

It's finally, finally, finally here!

What is it, you might ask? Football season! What else? Bane of housewives everywhere (lucky for me, mine loves football, too!), this favorite Sunday pasttime is enjoyed by millions of weekend revelers, including this one! So on Sunday, 5pm PDT, the Redskins will take on the Colts. They actually made it to the play-offs last year, so here's hoping they have another good run! Go 'Skins!

My telescope arrived a few weeks ago. I love it! Fully computerized, self-alignment, large aperture, quality construction. 'Course, I really haven't had much chance to use it, yet. Damn monsoon season. The skies have cleared up somewhat, but it's still really warm outside. Although, I took it outside yesterday and lined up the finderscope for it. I can't wait to align it and check out the planets! Including star ZiaSheonie in the Sagitta constellation!

In genealogy news, a distant relative has proved the link between the Buttons and the Poyers. What does this mean to you? Absolutely nothing. To me? It means another 800-900 years of documented proof of my ancestors, going all the way back to an ancient king of Greece, born around the year 210 in the 3rd century. I calculated it out. This guy would be my 47 great-grandfather. Simply put, say the word "great" 47 times and then the word "grandfather" and that's what he'd be to me. Pretty cool, huh? Now, however, I'm looking for someone who already has this data in a gedcom format 'cause I don't want to type all of that #%&*% into the computer!!
