We passed the first hurdle...

This is turning out to be such a joke.

The first building inspector was out today to do a "pilings" inspection. Know what that consists of? Glancing at the hole where the concrete is going to be poured, taking 10 seconds to flip through the plans, and then signing & dating the blue permit sheet.

That's freakin' it?? I scheduled my day around this guy taking all of about 30 seconds to give me his approval? There's so much red tape around our house at the moment that I'd be surprised if someone could actually find it.

This is gonna be a very busy week for us. The handyman dude will be here tomorrow to take out the cooktop, kitchen sink, and bathroom sink fixtures. Then, on Thursday, the counter dude will be here to completely resurface the kitchen counters and the counters in both bathrooms.

THEN, on Monday, the handyman dude will be back to install our new kitchen appliances, and put our new sink back in, install fixtures, etc.

Once all that's done, then I'm gonna have my grandpa help me put in our new wood floors in the kitchen, dining room, hall, and laundry room.

I think I need to take a nap.

Shouldn't you already be done with that thing?
